NORMAN – Oklahoma Softball’s freshman utility player Ella Parker has been recognized as a top-10 finalist for the 2024 TUCCI/NFCA Division I Freshman of the Year award, according to an announcement made by the organization on Thursday.
Parker has had an impressive freshman season, posting a slash line of .388/.503/.705 for a 1.208 OPS. She has hit 10 home runs and 11 doubles, and is third on the team with 47 RBIs. Additionally, she leads the team with 15 stolen bases and has crossed home plate 47 times. Her .551 weighted on-base average (wOBA) is second on the team, and her .434 batting average against right-handed pitchers is the highest among Oklahoma players.
Parker has been named among the top 10 finalists for the TUCCI/NFCA Division I Freshman of the Year award, recognizing her outstanding performance for the University of Oklahoma softball team.
