Veteran British footballer Sone Aluko has retired from professional football at the age of 35 following his time with Ipswich Town. But, with his retirement confirmed, a new opportunity may have arisen for Aluko, with his former boss Kieran McKenna tabling an offer for him to become part of
the coaching staff at the club.
With Aluko’s playing career coming to an end, the decision about his future is now in his hands. McKenna mentioned that they’ve offered him a coaching position for the upcoming season. He added with a laugh, “We hope Sone stays with us in some capacity. His agent is in discussions with Mark about it. He’s aiming to become the highest-paid coach in Premier League history!”
