Dallas Cowboys Encouraged To Release Wide Receiver…

The Dallas Cowboys have not made many moves this NFL offseason. Dallas is hoping to have another good season. They were 12-5 last season and won the NFC East before falling to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card Round.

The Cowboys offense does not have a deep receiving core. CeeDee Lamb is the best wide receiver on the roster. We will see if Lamb can get help at the position this season. He is due for a contract extension and so is quarterback Dak Prescott.

Cooks is no stranger to being traded to a bunch of NFL teams throughout his career. He has always been productive no matter where he goes. Brandin Cooks is 30 years old. Last season with the Dallas Cowboys, he caught 54 passes for 657 yards receiving and eight touchdowns, along with averaging 12.2 yards per catch.

Brandin Cooks was targeted 81 times. He also rushed for 35 yards on five carries and averaged 7.0 yards per rush and zero touchdowns.

The Bleacher Report Scouting Department said about the Dallas Cowboys possibly trading or releasing Brandin Cook before the 2024 season:

Renfrow last season for the Las Vegas Raiders caught 25 passes for 255 yards receiving and zero touchdowns. He averaged 10.2 yards per catch and is 28 years old. Hunter Renfrow being with the Dallas Cowboys would be a very good situation for him to be in if Dallas were to move on from Brandin Cooks.
