There is no disconnect’: Mitch Moses thrilled to have Jason Ryles as his coach in 2025, shuts down rumours of a rift between players and board

The coaching drama at the Eels has come to an end, and Mitchell Moses, a key player, has shared his thoughts on the recent months and speculation about internal discord within the club.

Mitchell Moses, the halfback for Parramatta, has expressed approval of the club’s choice to appoint Jason Ryles as their coach next year. He has dismissed claims of a rift between players and officials regarding the selection of Brad Arthur’s successor. Ryles, currently with the Storm, will join the Eels on a four-year contract, aiming to address their NRL-worst defensive issues, which have contributed to their limited success of just four wins this season. The decision to remove Arthur after Magic Round surprised the players, with Trent Barrett filling in as interim coach without reversing their season’s fortunes.
