BREAKING: Golden State Warriors Sign Former New Orleans Pelicans Player

Jaylen Brown addressed the Summer League following his exclusion from Team USA.

The Golden State Warriors have made a significant signing, reportedly agreeing to a two-way contract with former New Orleans Pelicans player Daeqwon Plowden. Plowden’s standout performance in the NBA Summer League, where he averaged 16.6 points with 54 percent shooting accuracy, earned him this opportunity.

This presents a valuable chance for Plowden, which he deserved. Although he hasn’t played in an NBA game yet, Plowden joined the New Orleans Pelicans in 2022 and participated in 42 games with their G League team. Following his release from New Orleans, he joined the Orlando Magic, where he played 49 games for their G League squad.

During their dynasty, the Warriors didn’t heavily lean on young talent, but in recent years, they’ve been granting more playing time to their younger players. With this two-way deal, there’s a chance Plowden could seize an opportunity in the NBA.
