Disrespectful’ Kendrick Perkins ‘lost all respect’ at Boston Celtics after ESPN star is banned from ex-player policy

Perkins was celebrated as a hero in Boston after his first eight NBA seasons with the Celtics, during which he helped the team secure the 2008 title. However, after consistently criticizing the Celtics on ESPN in recent years, he has severed all ties with the franchise.

The insider remarked, “What did he expect? He disparages the franchise and its players, uses harsh language to criticize the coach and players, and then expects to be respected in return?”

That’s not how things work; if you ignite a fire, you should expect to get burned.

“He tried to be conciliatory several times, but I can quickly spot his nonsense, and that kind of behavior is incredibly disrespectful.”

The insider also mentioned that Perkins is even “hated” by some current players.

“We’re not fools; we understand that the media attention might have gone to his head, but you can’t insult people and then expect them to greet you or be friendly,” the player said.
