Craig Bellamy has departed Burnley after a two-year tenure at Turf Moor to assume the role of Welsh national team manager.
During his time at Burnley, Bellamy served as Vincent Kompany’s assistant as the team won the Championship title and then faced relegation from the Premier League. Following Kompany’s departure to Bayern Munich, Bellamy emerged as a leading candidate for the Wales managerial position after Rob Page’s dismissal.

Burnley chairman Alan Pace acknowledged Bellamy’s significant contributions and leadership, wishing him success in his new role with Wales.
Bellamy, who earned 78 caps for Wales during his playing career, is set to make his managerial debut against Turkey in the Nations League on September 6. He expressed immense pride in taking on the role and vowed to bring continued success to Welsh football.
