BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — Na’eem Offord, the No. 5 player in the nation, the No. 2 cornerback, and the top player in Alabama for the class of 2025, committed to Ohio State in February and seems firm in his choice.
However, Auburn, along with Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Oregon, continues to recruit him and maintain interest. Despite these efforts, convincing him to change his commitment from Ohio State might prove challenging.
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama—When discussing the Parker Thundering Herd, much of the attention goes to 5-star recruit Na’eem Offord, and it’s well-deserved. However, coach Frank Warren has a roster brimming with talent as they approach the 2025 season. Among the standout players is Auburn’s defensive line commit, Jourdin Crawford. Additionally, the Tigers are actively pursuing another top Parker player, defensive back Timothy Merritt.
A 6-2, 180 cornerback with good coverage skills and the ability to turn and run, Merritt has more than two dozen offers already as he goes through spring practices prior to his senior season for the Birmingham city school.
The upcoming NBA Draft Combine, scheduled for May 12-19 in Chicago, has the potential to significantly impact the college basketball transfer portal.
