The Oklahoma Sooners received positive news on the recruiting front recently. Kade Pietrzak announced his top four schools on social media, and Oklahoma made the list. The Sooners are competing with Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Kansas State for Pietrzak, who had over 25 offers. He narrowed his choices from 26 to these four finalists, all vying for the talented defensive lineman.
According to the 247Sports Composite Player Rankings, Kade Pietrzak is ranked as the No. 327 overall recruit in the 2024 class. He is a four-star recruit, rated as the No. 35 defensive lineman nationally, and the top player in North Dakota. In the specific 247Sports Network rankings, Pietrzak is an 88-grade three-star prospect and the No. 57 defensive lineman in the country.
Pieterzak features an impressive frame to build upon at about 6-foot-4 and 240-pounds. On tape, Pieterzak shows a rare level of burst out of his stance and maintains an impressive overall play speed. Pieterzak plays with a high level of aggression, bringing a level of violence to each play others struggle to match and the consistent willingness to finish plays. He also takes two-way snaps at the preps level, playing defensive line and offensive tackle which carries value as well. But Pieterzak will need technical development as he transitions to a greater competition tier upon arrival at the next level.
It’s important to note that despite releasing a top-four schools list, Kade Pietrzak’s options could expand due to a recent addition to his offer sheet. During a visit to UCLA, the Bruins’ new coaching staff extended an offer to the North Dakota defensive lineman. Pietrzak has not indicated whether this offer alters his plans, but with UCLA now in consideration, his recruitment process could potentially change.
There is currently no decision date set for Pietrzak, and he doesn’t have a specific timeline in mind. After narrowing down his choices and receiving a new offer during a visit, it’s likely that his recruitment will remain open throughout the summer months. Although Pietrzak hasn’t announced any official visit dates yet, it’s reasonable to expect that the four or five schools remaining in his consideration will be included in his eventual official visit schedule.
