According to USA TODAY Sports, Arkansas has faced one of the most challenging schedules in college football for almost ten years. With Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC, this trend is expected to persist. Furthermore, Arkansas’s 2025 schedule is shaping up to be even tougher.
Missouri State is joining the excitement of conference realignment by transitioning from the Missouri Valley Conference to Conference USA (FBS) in 2025. This move follows the conference’s acceptance of several other FCS schools in 2023, along with Liberty joining as an independent. In 2025, Delaware will also be entering Conference USA alongside Missouri State.
For Arkansas, the move bolsters its nonconference schedule ever so lightly. The Razorbacks will be the only team in the conference without an FCS opponent, which is only good for bragging rights. In reality, the Bears won’t magically be better because of their move to the FBS ranks.
