Funeral arrangements have been confirmed following news of the passing of Sgt. and former Winchester Police Chief William Marty Jackson II late Sunday night. According to the Facebook page of the Winchester Police Department, services for Jackson will be held in the gymnasium of George Rogers Clark High School on Saturday, April 20, 2024. From 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., visitation is open exclusively for family and members of the Winchester Police Department.

The procession will exit the Interstate at Exit 96 to come into downtown on Maple Street. The procession will pass by WPD Headquarters before continuing to Lexington Avenue, ending at Winchester Cemetery.”, stated the Department’s Facebook page. Individuals attending services at George Rogers Clark High School will be directed on where to park and enter the gymnasium. Those who can not attend yet wish to line the funeral procession are encouraged to do so safely.
According to a Facebook post, the family of Sergeant Marty Jackson and the Winchester Police Department express gratitude for the overwhelming support from the public. They also extend thanks to Clark County Public Schools, Scobee Funeral Home, and Supporting Heroes, a non-profit organization aiding families of fallen first responders, for their dedication to the upcoming funeral service.
