Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney has vowed to look into allegations the club has banned a fan for their promotion celebrations at the Racecourse.
The Red Dragons celebrated promotion to League One following a 6-0 win over Forest Green Rovers last weekend at the Racecourse. At the full-time whistle, fans spilled onto the pitch, basking in the glow of a second straight promotion. But according to a Wrexham fan, one supporter has allegedly been handed a two-year ban for holding a flare at the ground – something co-owner McElhenney is investigating.
Wrexham backed up their National League title triumph with another promotion after finishing in the top three spots in League Two. They have got their thanks, in no small part, to the backing of co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney – who are, frankly, adored in Wrexham. And the fact they are so visible and care so much about this community is partly why there is so much trust and support around the club right now.
