The list of top college basketball transfer portal players is rapidly shrinking as the second half of May approaches. Teams are keen to fill their 2024-25 rosters, making high-end talent scarce. Over 2,000 players entered the transfer portal during the 45-day window this spring. Now, fewer than 20 of the top 100 prospects remain uncommitted. Some of these players have also entered the 2024 NBA Draft but can return to college if they withdraw by May 29. Recruiting visits continue, making this list dynamic as final decisions are made.

The update list of the top 15 remaining prospects in the college basketball transfer portal for the 2024 cycle includes notable players like Kanaan Carlyle from Stanford and Johnell Davis from Florida Atlantic. Other prominent names include Mark Mitchell from Duke, Robbie Avila from Indiana State, and Oumar Ballo from Arizona. This list highlights key players available across various positions who are still seeking new teams for the upcoming season.

JAMIR WATKINS, FLORIDA STATE

Jamir Watkins, formerly of Florida State, declared for the 2024 NBA Draft but also entered the college basketball transfer portal just before it closed in early May. As a junior, he led the Seminoles in scoring with 15.6 points per game, and also averaged 6.0 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game. Watkins shot 45.7% from the field and 34.4% from three-point range. He has until May 29 to withdraw from the NBA Draft and is considering a return to college basketball for the 2024-25 season.
