Ange Postecoglou has already made it clear that the North London club will undergo major changes in the summer transfer window. They are expected to part ways with quite a few players and they will look to bring in top-quality reinforcements as well.
According to TuttoJuve, Spurs are targeting Andrea Cambiaso and are prepared to offer £34 million to strengthen their defense for next season.
The young full-back has had an impressive season at Juventus, attracting significant interest. Following a successful loan spell at Bologna, the 24-year-old earned a regular spot in the Juventus first team and has delivered strong performances.
In his 39 appearances this season, Cambiaso has contributed 9 goals (3 goals and 6 assists).
While he prefers playing as a full-back, the former Genoa star has been used in a wing-back role. He has featured on both flanks, as a winger and even in the centre of the park. His impressive performances and his versatility have put him on the radar of the North London Club.
Postecoglou wants more depth in the full-back department as his team have suffered because of injuries to both their left-backs and with Emerson Royal’s future uncertain, Cambiaso could be a great signing.
As a result, they are willing to spend £34 million to incorporate the Italian international into their squad. But, it won’t be easy with Juventus looking to keep hold of their star and other clubs also interested in the 24-year-old defensive sensation.
