The Kansas City Chiefs have won back-to-back Super Bowls, and three in the last five seasons, and it is due in no small part to the fantastic play from quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The most impressive thing about the superstar quarterback is that he has accomplished all of this at such a young age. But now, he is not as young as he was, as he is celebrating his 29th birthday today.
Mahomes has accomplished things in six full seasons as the starter that many players do not achieve in an entire career. It illustrates just how dominant he is, as he has broken nearly every quarterback record that is measured before a player turns 30. This season, he could once again do something that nobody has done before. No team has ever been able to win three straight Super Bowls, and the Chiefs have the opportunity to do just that this season.
They are off to a great start, as they are 2-0 against two AFC teams that will likely end the season in the playoffs. If the Chiefs can complete the three-peat, they will become one of the greatest dynasties ever, and Mahomes will have an even better case against Tom Brady for the best quarterback ever. He will be looking to lead the Chiefs to 3-0 against Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday Night Football.
