Phil Parkinson needs to upgrade Wrexham left-back Jacob Mendy by signing a “dangerous” free agent. Wrexham are currently strategizing in the transfer market to assemble a squad strong enough to secure promotion to the Championship.
With several League One-ready players at the club, such as Paul Mullin, Andy Cannon, Elliot Lee, and Eoghan O’Connell, Phil Parkinson just needs to strengthen his solid core.
Wrexham are aiming to improve various positions, with targets like Wigan Athletic’s Jason Kerr, Brighton’s Marc Leonard, and Notts County striker Macaulay Langstaff.
Parkinson is also looking for a new left-back to compete with or replace Jacob Mendy, and he should aim to secure Tom Pearce for that role.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Wrexham were interested in a trio of Wigan players, including Tom Pearce. The 26-year-old, along with strikers Josh Magennis and Stephen Humphrys, was released by the Latics and has been added to Parkinson’s shortlist.
