In the 2024 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers aimed to strengthen their team around their cornerstone quarterback. Similarly, the Vikings and Bears entered the draft with the goal of finding their own franchise quarterbacks.
Minnesota took a chance on JJ McCarthy from Michigan with the 11th pick. We still have long way to go before the start of the season, however, fans aren’t wasting any time in critiquing the rookie.
McCarthy attended the Vikings’ rookie minicamp this weekend. When one of his passes sailed right, fans took notice:
