Stay updated on the most recent transfer news and rumors for Brighton and Hove Albion as well as the rest of the Premier League. Rangers might renew their interest in Brighton midfielder Steven Alzate this summer, with the 25-year-old set to leave Albion when his contract expires at the end of June.
Alzate, who joined Brighton in 2017 from Leyton Orient, has made 72 appearances for the club across all competitions, including 52 starts. Over the past two seasons, he has been on loan with Standard Liege in Belgium, where he played 47 matches in all competitions.
Rangers were previously linked with the Colombia international and the door is now open for the Glasgow club to follow-up as part of Philippe Clement’s rebuild. Everton and Wolves were also reportedly keen on Alzate in the past, who broke through at Brighton under the guidance of former coach Graham Potter.
