The 26-year-old radio host from Perth shared some exciting news on Instagram earlier this week, announcing that she proposed to the AFLW West Coast Eagles backline coach on Easter Saturday.
During a beach outing in Eagle Bay, a spot in southwest Western Australia, Triple M host Lamb orchestrated what she described as ‘the biggest blindside ever’ when she surprised Pearman with a proposal. However, their pet dog, a cavoodle named Reggie, created a bit of chaos by wildly digging in the sand and inadvertently tossing it all over the engagement ring.
Lamb commented, “Reggie, our three-year-old cavoodle, stole the show at one point, digging and flinging sand everywhere, including on the ring. But it added to the moment and made it even more memorable.”
Following the proposal, they enjoyed a celebratory meal at Fishbone and then joined a group of friends at Aravina Estate for a surprise get-together.
We were overwhelmed with so much love and support from friends, family and Insta besties.
‘Thank you so much to everyone who made us feel so special.
‘Now, I need to sleep for a year. Wake me up when it’s our wedding.’
In her Instagram post, Lamb explained the proposal didn’t quite go as planned.
‘This morning we walked to our favourite spot in Eagle Bay and for the first time ever, [Martene] decided to do 10 minutes of bloody ‘breathing exercises’ on a gigantic rock. That wasn’t part of the plan,’ she wrote in her caption.
Once I convinced her to come down and after Reggie stopped frantically flicking sand all over us during the moment, we locked her in.’
The heartwarming and candid moment was captured on video and included in Lamb’s post.
Several friends and fans took to the comments to congratulate the pair on their engagement.
Amazing!!! Congrats. Cant wait to see if you’ll be wearing pjs or a set to the wedding xxx,’ former AFL WAG Sophie Cachia commented.
‘Ahhhhhh this is amazing!! Congratulations lovers,’ added one pal.
Yay!!!!! Congratulations Katie and Tines! Bit of work before Reggie can be tasked with ring bearer. X,’ another friend wrote.
In 2023, Lamb vowed to legally change her name to Matilda if the soccer legends won the Women’s World Cup.
She hosts Triple M’s Rush Hour with Embers and Katie show, which is owned by ASX-listed radio giant Southern Cross Austereo.
