Missouri football vs. Ohio State final score, highlights: Tigers win Cotton Bowl 14-3
Missouri football finishes the season with a New Year’s Six bowl victory as they defeat Ohio State with a final score of 14-3 in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl. The Tigers, led by coach Eli Drinkwitz, had a slow start and were held scoreless in the first half. However, they managed to turn things around in the second half and secure the win with back-to-back touchdown drives.
Cody Schrader, a sixth-year senior running back, had an outstanding performance, breaking the Tigers’ single-season rushing yards record with 1,622 yards. Quarterback Brady Cook was named the offensive MVP of the game, rushing for 66 yards and throwing for 128 yards and a touchdown.
Ohio State faced challenges as they were without their starting quarterback Kyle McCord and top NFL draft pick Marvin Harrison Jr. who opted out of the game. Their backup, Devin Brown, was also knocked out of the game due to injury, forcing true freshman Lincoln Kienholz to step in.
Overall, Missouri football’s victory in the Cotton Bowl marks a successful end to their 11-win season.
