According to a recent Pro Football Focus (PFF) preseason ranking, Dan Lanning’s Oregon Ducks have the best receiving corps in the country as the 2024 Oregon football season approaches. Given how Lanning has put together talent in Eugene and how the Oregon Ducks football program consistently has dynamic offenses, this shouldn’t come as a surprise.

And as PFF analyst Max Chadwick’s piece on the greatest receiving corps in the nation explains, Oregon was able to take the top spot in PFF’s rankings because of the enormous amount of talent the Ducks have at receiver going into the 2024 Oregon football season.

Prior to the 2024 season, PFF ranked Oregon football’s receiver corps as the best in the nation. As Chadwick pointed out, one of the main factors contributing to Oregon’s success in this regard will undoubtedly be the presence of a potent receiving tandem in Tez Johnson and Texas A&M Aggies transfer Evan Stewart in the starting lineup each week.

After transferring to join the Ducks after three successful seasons with the Troy Trojans, Johnson is an accomplished receiving threat who was a star for the Oregon Ducks attack last season. Johnson had a fantastic year in 2023, catching 86 passes for 1182 yards and 10 touchdowns. Johnson caught 141 passes for 1809 yards and eight touchdowns over his three seasons with Troy.
