September will see a series of major live recordings and the return of a Pink Floyd icon. David Gilmour is releasing *Luck and Strange*, his first solo album in almost ten years. This time, Charlie Andrew steps in as co-producer, following two albums that Gilmour produced with Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music. Pink Floyd fans will be especially interested in the title track, which features an archival performance by Gilmour’s late bandmate, Richard Wright
Bob Dylan’s return to touring in the 1970s is highlighted in a new box set titled *The 1974 Live Recordings*. This collection includes over 430 tracks, most of which are previously unreleased, from his performances with the Band. Additionally, the band America is releasing *Live From the Hollywood Bowl 1975*, a special concert recording featuring an orchestra conducted by George Martin.
Fleetwood Mac’s *Mirage Tour ’82* features 22 songs from two sold-out shows at the Los Angeles Forum during their 31-city U.S. tour. Neil Young’s extensive 17-disc set, *Archives Vol. III*, contains 198 tracks recorded between 1976 and 1987. The Grateful Dead’s 19-disc set, *Friend of the Devils: April 1978*, includes eight full concerts that have never been released before.
