Roberto Firmino, the former Liverpool and Brazil footballer, has embarked on a new chapter at the age of 32 by becoming a pastor. Firmino shared the news on his social media platforms, expressing a deep-seated desire to share the love and faith he has found through Christ with others.

Alongside his wife, Firmino was ordained as an evangelical pastor at the church they established three years ago in his hometown of Maceio, Brazil. The dedication ceremony occurred recently, marking a significant step in their spiritual journey.

Currently playing for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli, Firmino had a productive season, featuring in 34 matches across various competitions, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists. His market value, as per Transfermarkt, stands at eight million euros.

Firmino departed Liverpool last summer after an illustrious eight-year stint, during which he made 362 appearances, scoring 111 goals and contributing 75 assists. Reflecting on his departure, Firmino acknowledged divine guidance, indicating that he realized God’s plan was leading him elsewhere after conversations with Pastor Daniel in Maceio.
