Transfer portal basketball rankings: The ACC’s 15 best transfers next season, ranked

The ACC received a boost in talent on Thursday with Vanderbilt transfer Ven-Allen Lubin committing to North Carolina, strengthening one of the conference’s top teams. Lubin is the latest top-150 prospect from the transfer portal to join the ACC this offseason. Among the top 15 transfers highlighted, Duke stands out as the only major college basketball team that didn’t take a transfer last offseason, yet it leads all ACC teams with three top-100 transfers.

The ACC ranked fifth in NCAA Tournament bids this postseason but had the most teams in the Sweet 16 with four, marking the fifth consecutive tournament where the league led or tied for the lead in regional semifinal berths. NC State and Louisville, along with Duke, boast top-25 transfer portal classes, while Syracuse, SMU, and Miami each secured strong classes with three four-star prospects each. North Carolina has only one transfer so far, but he is one of the highest-rated commits in the ACC.
