In a November 2021 interview, Dirkschneider stated, “I’m still enjoying the whole thing… I have a lot of people asking me when I am thinking about retiring. No, come on — this is nothing for me. As long as I’m healthy and my voice is working, we can tour worldwide and there is no reason to stop.”
Furthermore, in June 2020, he mentioned, “I always said, as long as I still have fun to do this, as long as I’m healthy and my voice is working… I don’t know. Maybe another 10 years or whatever — I have no idea.”
In line with his ongoing dedication, Dirkschneider, along with former ACCEPT bassist Peter Baltes, planned a European tour in 2025 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of ACCEPT’s “Balls To The Wall” album.
These statements and plans indicate that Udo Dirkschneider remains active in the music industry and has not declared any intentions to retire from performing.
