Unbelievable!! Giannis Antetokounmpo scored points to lead….

Giannis Antetokounmpo made a perfect comeback on the FIBA court, scoring 32 points without missing a shot, guiding Greece to victory against the Dominican Republic in the FIBA OQT.

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo had not competed in a game since April 9th, when he sustained a calf strain during the 2024 NBA Playoffs. This injury sidelined him for crucial games in the first-round series against the Indiana Pacers, contributing to Milwaukee’s eventual loss.

However, Giannis returned almost flawlessly on the grand international stage, guiding Greece to a commanding 109-82 win over the Dominican Republic in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) held in Piraeus, Greece.

He showcased an impressive 32-point performance, shooting flawlessly from two-point range (10/10) and beyond the arc (1/1). His only misses occurred at the free throw line, where he converted 9 out of 13 attempts.

The ‘Greek Freak’ also contributed 2 rebounds and 2 assists, achieving a game-high 34 efficiency rating in just 18 minutes and 10 seconds of play.

Antetokounmpo’s Greece is set to play against Egypt on Thursday in their last group-stage match.

The Dominican Republic played without Karl-Anthony Towns and Al Horford in the FIBA OQT. Despite this, Sacramento Kings guard Chris Duarte stood out for the losing team, scoring 26 points and sinking 5 of his 8 three-point attempts.
