Very Sad News:Rondale Moore carted off practice field with leg injury

It’s never pleasant to witness an injury, especially not before the season begins. Unfortunately, that was the case on Tuesday afternoon when Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Rondale Moore was carted off the practice field after apparently injuring his right leg.

The injury was severe enough that Moore had to be fitted with an inflatable cast, leading both teams to cancel the remainder of the practice session for the day.

Teammates were understandably shaken.

Moore joined the Falcons this off-season to strengthen their receiving corps after several seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. He was anticipated to bring much-needed speed to the group following his trade to Atlanta. This week, the Falcons have been in Miami for joint practices with the Dolphins in preparation for their preseason opener on Friday evening, where Moore was contending with Ray-Ray McCloud and others for the slot receiver position.

It’s a significant setback because Moore, who has previously been more of a backup, was expected to take on a larger role in the Falcons’ offense. A serious injury, if that’s what this turns out to be, could jeopardize his season and his chance to make an impact. Early reports aren’t encouraging, but we can only hope for a better outcome from this unfortunate situation.
