Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens had outlined a five-year plan to bring the club back to European football, which Emery helped achieve with an impressive turnaround last season.
Aston Villa aims to be among the top clubs for the foreseeable future, with a goal of establishing themselves as part of the “great eight” after achieving European football for two consecutive seasons. With a top six finish already secured this season, Emery has clarified that while long-term objectives are important, the immediate focus must be on the present to create the consistency needed to reach V Sports’ ambitious targets.
