This weekend, the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees clash in the Bronx, offering fans a chance to snag unique merchandise. New Era Caps introduced hats featuring the numbers of Yankees’ Aaron Judge and Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani split. Additionally, a dual bobblehead of Judge and Ohtani is available, although fans may need to reconcile the rivalry as the teams share a space.
Recently, there’s been a notable trend of merchandise collaborations between historic rivals. Ahead of the MLB London series this weekend, merchandise featuring a combination of New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies logos emerged in London.
Judge boasted a .361 batting average and slammed 14 home runs in May. Heading into Friday, his 1.080 OPS leads Major League Baseball, with his 51 RBIs ranking third. Meanwhile, Ohtani holds a .318 batting average, along with 15 home runs and 40 RBIs.
The teams enter what’s dubbed as the “Battle in the Bronx” with two of the top five records in MLB. The series wraps up on Sunday Night Baseball at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
