The Leicester City players were given strict instructions not to keep tabs on Ipswich’s East Anglia derby with Norwich to keep them focused on their own performance.
We’re only bothered about us. We can’t be too bothered about other teams as it will affect the way we play. I know if we do our job, we’ll be there. We’ve played 40 games this season, we’ve got six more. That’s nothing in the grand scheme of things. If we put another six performances in, we’ll be there.”
City don’t get long to enjoy being back on top. They will have to defend their position on Tuesday night when they head to relegation-battling Millwall, with Leeds at home to mid-table Sunderland. Ipswich host Watford on Wednesday.
After back-to-back home victories, City now have to deliver on the road. They will go to the Den with confidence.
“There’s no hiding it, we were in a slump,” Dewsbury-Hall added. “Our confidence was perhaps a bit low the past couple of weeks.
“It’s been a fantastic six points in the past two home games. It’s been great support in the past two home games. It helps get us over the line. Now we’ve got a couple of away games. They’ll come in their numbers and hopefully we can make them good days for them.”
